Terms & Conditions

MoveQuoteLocal.co.uk ("MoveQuoteLocal", "we", "us", "our") is a UK-based online lead generation and quote comparison platform that introduces customers to independent, verified removals and cleaning companies ("Partners"). We do not own vans, employ movers or cleaners, or carry out any moves or cleaning ourselves. Each Partner is an independent business contracted directly by the customer.

• An online form for you to request indicative moving or cleaning quotes.
• Introductions to up to two manually vetted Partners per enquiry.
• Optional SMS verification, photo survey upload and follow-up support.
• AI-assisted indicative price estimates (see section 11).

Any price guidance shown on the site or sent to you by a Partner before a survey is an indicative estimate only. A final binding quotation is issued by the Partner after they have reviewed your move details, addresses, access conditions and inventory. MoveQuoteLocal is not a party to that quotation or to the contract of carriage.

Once your enquiry is submitted and you have given consent (see section 6), Partners will contact you directly by phone, SMS, email or WhatsApp to confirm details and provide a firm quote. You are free to accept or decline any Partner. MoveQuoteLocal does not negotiate price or terms on your behalf.

• Provide accurate move details, addresses and contact information.
• Only upload photos of property and items you are entitled to share.
• Respond to Partner contact attempts within a reasonable time.
• Not use the service for fraudulent, abusive or illegal enquiries.

By ticking the consent boxes on the quote form you confirm that we may share your name, phone number, email address, pick-up and delivery addresses, survey information and any uploaded photos with verified Partners solely for the purpose of providing you with moving or cleaning quotes.

Consent is recorded with a timestamp, IP address, browser information, the versions of these Terms and the Privacy Policy you accepted, and a reference to your enquiry. You may withdraw consent and request deletion at any time — see our Privacy Policy.

By submitting an enquiry you agree that MoveQuoteLocal and the matched Partners may contact you about your moving request via phone call, SMS, email or WhatsApp. Marketing communications are separate and only sent if you opt in via the optional marketing checkbox.

The contract for the move or cleaning service itself is between you and the Partner. MoveQuoteLocal acts solely as an introducer and is not liable for any loss, damage, delay, dispute, pricing variation or third-party action arising from services provided by a Partner. We will, however, support you in raising and escalating complaints and may suspend or remove Partners who do not meet our standards.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, MoveQuoteLocal's aggregate liability to you arising out of or in connection with the platform is limited to £100. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or any liability which cannot be excluded under UK law.

We may suspend, block or remove accounts and enquiries that we reasonably believe are fraudulent, abusive, duplicate, or made in bad faith. We may share minimal information with Partners to help detect and prevent fraud.

Where the platform displays an indicative price using AI-based scoring of your enquiry, the figure is approximate, automatically generated and does not constitute a binding quotation. Only a Partner can issue a binding quote after reviewing your full details.

We aim to keep the site available 24/7 but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. Features may be added, changed or withdrawn without notice.

MoveQuoteLocal is currently not VAT registered. VAT is therefore not applied to any joining fees, subscriptions or pay-per-lead charges paid by Partners. Partner invoicing is separate from any VAT a customer-facing Partner may charge.

Neither MoveQuoteLocal nor any Partner is liable for delay or failure to perform caused by events outside reasonable control, including severe weather, strikes, civil unrest, fuel shortages, infrastructure outages, or government action.

We encourage you to contact us first at support@movequotelocal.co.uk so we can help resolve any issue with a Partner. Unresolved disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.

We may update these Terms from time to time. The version in force at the moment you submit an enquiry is the one stored against your consent record.

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
